Hi! My name is
Shepherd/Terrier, Pit Bull/Mix
Date of Birth
March 23, 2022
I’m not really princess-ey as my name suggests. Well, except for first thing in the morning. I take a little while to wake up from my beauty sleep. Yawn and stretch for 10 minutes or so. I sleep soundly in my crate every night. I like my naps during the day too. I’m kinda spoiled here. I’ve got my quilted blankie and two dog beds to choose from. One of them is in my crate.
My foster mom says I’m the best walker. I walk loose leash. When we meet people I stop and observe. If the humans say my name a time or two I’ll go to them for pets. When we meet other dogs I can be a bit reactive but I am easily distracted.
I’m fully house trained and will go to the door and poke my leash or whine and paw a bit when I need to go out. I like my toys too, and can amuse myself for hours playing with stuffies, rope chews, a ball or a bone. I do the cutest little half-somersault when I want belly rubs. Head down and bum up in the air while twisted like a pretzel! Then plop down and roll onto my back.
I’m kind of a grazer with my food (and a little quirky too!) You see I don’t care for a dish or a bowl. I like my kibbles in a snuffle mat, then get you to dump out a few to get me started. Being the smart girl that I am, I can pick up a corner of the mat and dump more out when I want them. I’m very gentle when I get treats .I know “sit” and “leave it” and am working on “stay” and “lie down”.
My foster home doesn’t have a fenced back yard but I think if I had one I’d get the “zoomies” more often. I have not been around those things called cats or kids. I’m fine when left alone in my crate for shorter periods of time while my foster parents are out.
Looking forward to meeting you!” – xo, Kate
