Moderately shy

Hello, my name is Avelar! I am a playful sweet kitty looking for my forever home. Come meet me and be charmed by my sweet demeanor, striking green eyes, and adorable white moustache!

Though I was quite shy with my foster mom at first, each day I am becoming more and more confident and feeling more comfortable coming out to socialize. I love neck scratches and body pets but sometimes can’t decide if I want to be petted or played with (sometimes I think hands are meant to be toys). I am such a content young boy, I’m happy to play with my foster mom or on my own when she’s busy. My favourite cat toys are my feather stick, my mouse with the dangly strings, and a stuffed animal I can wrestle with. Though I’m not much of a snuggler yet, I like being in the room with people and gazing out the window or watching their activities or from my perch (I have the most adorable head tilt when I am interested in what you are doing).

My foster mom hasn’t introduced me to her resident cat yet since I’m still pretty shy, but I’m such a relaxed guy when I get comfortable that she thinks I might be happy with the cat with a similar energy level. Though I’m still building my confidence, I promise I’ll be the most endearing cat for someone who is willing to put in a little effort to help me come out of my shell :). Apply today! xo Avelar
