“Hi! I’m a lively and loveable young adult pup who is still learning my manners. I’ve only been with my foster family for a short time, and they have taught me so much. I used to be very jumpy and nippy, but they have taught me not do that – although I forget sometimes, when I’m excited.

I have had an eventful summer! I spent some time in the SPCA in Yellowknife, then the fires came and I was rushed out on a plane to Calgary to my temporary bed at AARCS where I was picked up a week later by my foster parents and their teenage children. I would really love my next home to be the one that takes me into their hearts, nurtures me, exercises me and teaches me what I can and cannot do.

Meeting new people and new doggie playmates is my favourite thing to do. I love to go on walks 2 or 3 times a day and love to play in my large fenced yard with my housemates (female 45 lbs and male 70lbs). In fact, I have so much energy that I need at least one other doggie friend in my new home. I am very good when I meet new dogs, whatever the size, but I am still learning my boundaries.

I have been very good at learning my kitchen manners, sitting patiently until my foster mom places the bowl on the floor, but I need to remember not to try and snatch anything that is left on the counter. Treats work well in encouraging me to behave myself. I love treats.
