Slightly timid

Hi!  I’m Baklava and I’m looking for my forever home.  Have you ever heard a cat ‘whisper meow’?  No?  Come and meet me and I’ll show you.  Being quiet is my specialty.  Besides being super sweet, of course!

I can be a bit shy around people I don’t know, but once you win my trust, I will be your greatest companion.  I love to watch TV with you.  I’m very excited for football and hockey season!  I’m an older gentleman so I’m pretty laid back but I still love a good game of stick or string.  You should see how fast I can go!

Most of my habits are great.  My litterbox habits are excellent.  I sleep right thru the night, which I’ve heard you humans like.  I scratch my trees and posts consistently and I’m easily distracted if I even think about putting my toes on something else.  And I have never EVER used my claws on a human in my foster home.

And for my ‘needs improvement’ habits, I really love to counter-surf and sit on the kitchen table.  I’m sure it’s because I love food.  And I mean LOVE.  All food.  Any food.  Especially the foods I’m not supposed to have.  It’s all just so yummy!

Sudden movements around my head startle and scare me so I think a home with no small kids would be best.  I sometimes overgroom to the point my fur is wet.  My foster mom says cats aren’t supposed to have wet armpits but I think I’m funny so I just keep doing it.
