Moderately shy

Hello, my name is Nanaimo! I’m a quiet, gentle lady who is looking for a cozy spot to spend my days. I came to AARCS after my human was unable to care for me any longer. Now that I’ve had some time to decompress in my foster home, I am on the lookout for a quiet, stable furever home where I can spend my days lounging around.

I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get more comfortable with you I will come out to sit on your lap! I am a very gentle girl who really likes getting pets and being brushed.  I like to spend my time tucked into a little hideaway, but if you pick up the brush, I will come right out to see you. My foster mom has tried to get me interested in chasing balls or playing with toys, but I couldn’t care less about them! I’m more interested in getting chin scritches and purring up a storm. 

As I’ve gotten more confident in my foster home, I’ve found that I really like to sleep with the humans on their bed. I hope you won’t mind if I curl up by your feet at night! 

My foster home has a medium sized dog, and I don’t mind him as long as he keeps his distance. I think I would be happiest in a home where I am the only animal, or in a home where I will have my own quiet space. I haven’t met any kids yet, but I’m pretty gentle and I think I would be okay with them if they were gentle with me!   Apply today! xo Nanaimo
