“Hello, my name is Peccary but my foster family calls me Juno!

I’m a petite, feisty little love bug who wants nothing more than to play, sit on your lap, and kiss you all over. Sometimes I also show my love by latching on to you like a baby shark – I just really don’t want to let you go! I can be quite an excitable little girl when it comes to my people.

I’m quite food motivated and that’s sure helped me start to learn my basic commands. I don’t know how to tell you when I need to go outside yet, but I’ll happily go do my business outside if you take me out (and I’ll look at you while I’m doing my thing; I love being told that I’m such a good girl!). I’ll also use pee pads pretty reliably.

My crate training is coming along but to be honest… I don’t want to learn this. My foster parents keep telling me that I have to, and offering me all kinds of goodies to help me learn that it’s not so bad, but… I just want to be with my people. I can protest for a pretty long time but I’m getting better at settling down each day.

My foster parents think I’d do best with a big brother or sister to show me how to become a confident, well-rounded girl. I like to be around other dogs, but I’m a bit unsure when it comes to play. I love playing rough with my brother but I get spooked easily with the resident dogs here and tend to run and hide.

My foster sibling is teaching me not to be so scared and my confidence is definitely improving, but I think I still need a role model. I’m looking for somebody gentle, confident, tolerant, and playful that I can watch and learn from.
