Moderately shy

Hello my name is Citrine!  I must have drawn you in with my floofy cat charm. I’ve realized a couple things since coming to AARCS…I actually do really like pets (but shh don’t tell anyone, I’ve been keeping it a secret!) and I also really LOVE food – the way to my heart. 

I have been so happy in my foster home and really enjoy a quiet space…with one small exception, I LOVE TV. I will watch it for hours and hours. I’d love if my future home let me watch it with them. 

I have a lot of love to give but please be patient with me, I can be fearful and shy. I just need time is all! I LOVE the top of my head being petted but I’ll let you know when it is a good time is by nudging you with my head and I’ll flip and flop all over the ground! My foster mom thinks it’s super adorable. 

I know I’m floofy and you may want to pick me up and snuggle me but I’m just not quite ready for that yet. I need you to approach me slowly and on my level. I prefer to sniff your hand a couple times first before you pet me. I also like to hear your voice so feel free to tell me stories while we get acquainted. I’m just a wee bit cautious is all. You humans are big and I’m just figuring it all out! 

Since I am shy, a home with no kids would be best for me. Those kids move super quick and I find it scary! I’m looking for a relaxed furever home where I can watch birds out the window, eat all of the treats, and nap in peace…with the TV on of course. I may be slow to warm up, but I promise that I’m worth the wait!
