About Arbor

“Hi, I’m Arbor! Wait ’til you see me prance around the house, I’m such a happy boy!

My foster parents call me Arbie, and I caught on quick that they’re talking to me! I am so friendly and love getting pets. I like meeting new people that come to my foster parents’ house, and although I am so happy to meet them, I know to keep my paws on the floor like a good boy!

I LOVE my toys, especially stuffies with a squeaker. When you give one to me, I will take it and parade it around the house to show it off. Then I take it to the carpet and play independently with it. I like to throw them around and then playfully pounce on them or paw at them. My foster mom says I am the cutest player. I don’t destroy my toys, I love them too much! I also love playing with my foster parents, and my foster brother (a similar sized doggy). I know to take breaks when playing with other dogs, and although I can enjoy rough housing, I am respectful of my doggy friends.

After a good play sesh, I crash on the couch or on your lap if you will let me! I can be a pretty good cuddler when I am tired. I stay in my crate all night long, and all day while my foster parents are at work (10+ hours at a time!). I have had no accidents at all. I’m a big fan of adventures. I have plenty of energy to go hiking, walking, or whatever outdoor activity you have in mind. When I walk I am very interested in all the smells, who can blame me? This means I weave side to side trying to make sure I don’t miss anything, but my foster parents are working on getting me to stay on one side. I can pull if I see a bunny; they look like so much fun to chase! I would like if my furever family continued to help me learn about nice leash walking.

I am very smart and like to work for my food. Sometimes I will ignore it completely in the dish but am more than willing to take it gently from your hand after showing off my skills!  I’m good at “sit”, and “come” when I am out in the yard. My foster parents are the first ones to show me things like “lay down”, “wait”, and “leave it” but I am learning fast and enjoy training sessions. I’m even learning it is nice to get brushed and I will lay nicely especially if there are tasty treats involved.

I don’t know if you have noticed, but I have heterochromia! That means I have one beautiful blue eye, and one gorgeous brown eye. It makes me so unique and handsome, how could anyone resist a face this cute! If you think my good looks and friendly, adventurous style make me the perfect guy then fill out an application! I’d love to meet you and let you fall in love with me in person!” – xo, Arbor
