Joss is the duckling who became the swan, such a beautiful shiny black pup! A happy girl who enjoys all the finer things in life like eating, playing, running in the yard, fetching and hanging out with her litter mate and our large dog.

Joss has made her foster family laugh out loud with her fetching abilities. If her brother gets to the fetch toy first, she will meet him as he returns, grab on to one end of the toy and help carry it back, that way she doesn’t miss out on the treat reward. Joss really doesn’t miss a thing, if she’s in the yard and a human comes to the window right away she will look as if to say “ok what’s next?”

She’s now great with the sit command, wait and learning to shake a paw. The only time she whines is when she wakes up and let’s you know it’s time to “go pee”. Her bark can be loud when she is struggling for a toy that her litter mate has and if there are a dozen toys, she has to have the one he has which is always comical. She is always excited to see visitors and for those walking by the yard again she will sit and watch.

Joss will sleep in a crate as long as the door is open. She is not a destroyer of furniture, books, not even the ottoman and is happy to chew on a toy meant for that purpose.
