Meet Elliot! This boy is such a sweetheart! Elliot can be pretty shy when you first meet him, and he takes a while to warm up, but he’s slowly starting to come out of his shell. He’ll need to go to a home that will continue to build his confidence. Time and patience are two things he needs most. With positive encouragement over the past month in foster care, he’s really started to trust us humans. He absolutely loves chin scratches and belly rubs. We are hopeful he’ll become a snuggly lap cat over time.
Treats are the key to his heart, but he’s a little chubby, so they have to be given sparingly. With his newfound confidence, he’s learning that toys are so much fun to play with and we know that with his increased activity, that extra pound or two will melt away.
Elliot is a wonderful house guest and has excellent litter box manners. He hardly makes a peep unless he’s being petted, then he just purrs and purrs. He barely sheds, is an excellent groomer and his fur is super soft.
Elliot is currently living with foster siblings but interactions have been limited. We think Elliot could get along with another cat so long as they matched his laid back attitude. Slow introductions would be super important and Elliot would need a safe space to retreat to if feeling overwhelmed. Elliot is starting to show some curiosity with regards to our cat savvy Labrador. We still think he might do better in a home without dogs but could possibly be ok with dog who respects his space and doesn’t chase him.
If you are looking for an adorable companion, look no further and apply for Elliot today!
