Introducing gorgeous siblings, Thistle (black male) and Purslane (female Torbie) – Bonded Pair!!

 

Thistle and Purslane are a bonded brother and sister and came to us when they were about 3 months old. When we met they were terrified of humans and it broke our hearts. Since then, they have made LEAPS and BOUNDS! We can now crate them when needed, pick them up, cut their front claws, and pet them, if we approach them slowly, speak softly and be gentle. They are learning to trust that humans are nice and won’t hurt them. They will even come up to me now and inspect me, and curl up against my feet and legs (out of reach of my hands). They will play with me and love to “”hunt”” their toys!

They love each other and LOVE my resident cats, especially their “”Uncle”” Sven and “”Cousin”” Sully! When they are in the room with the Thistle and Purslane, these young cats are instantly more confident and much more curious…like young cats should be! They watch the “”big”” cats carefully as they wander the room, come to me for pets and brushings, and will approach me far more often! They are a super sweet pair! When allowed out of the cat room, they take the opportunity to “”people watch”” us and explore the house, showing that they are interested in goings on of their environment and inspecting us humans!

These beautiful babies are learning to trust humans and in just 3 months have made so much progress! They need to be in a home with no kids, or older ones that know to be gentle, and allow the cats to come to them in their own time. They would do best in a quiet home.

Their furever humans will need to have patience, compassion and willingness to allow these siblings to learn and trust at their own pace.” These beautiful siblings will undoubtedly win your love in no time!!
