“Hi! My name is Druzy. I pride myself on being a polite housemate. I really like people and I’m very affectionate and loyal to my humans. They say I’m tall, dark, and handsome, but that I also have a charming personality to compliment those good looks.

I love to have fun and be goofy, and I’ll play with all sorts of toys. I really enjoy getting creative and composing interesting songs with the squeakers in my stuffies. Tug-with-Rules is fun! The game of fetch is also a favourite of mine and I always appreciate it when my humans give my ball a toss so that I can bring it back at lightning speed. I might try to play keep away at first, just to keep things exciting, but I’ll eventually share it because I don’t want the game to end.

If my humans have had enough of play time, that’s cool. I love snuggles too and can settle down quickly for a quiet cuddle or a nap. I’m pretty good at “reading the room”. Really, I just want to be close to my humans and do whatever they’re doing. They’re my best friends!

I’m told that I’m a super smart boy. It’s true that I know lots of basic cues: Sit, Down, Stay, Shake, Come, and Touch, and I’m eager to earn treats with a good training session. Currently, I’m focusing on improving my leash manners and learning how to behave around others. I get overwhelmed and excited by other dogs and some new people. There is lots of commotion in the suburbs that I’m maybe not so accustomed to! Since I’m so smart, I’m sure I can make great progress on this. I really want to please my people. I just need a bit of patience and leadership. I’m very intuitive of the behaviours that make my humans happy and will continue to do my very best to please!

Once I learn some social skills, I’ll be the perfect dog! Will you help me become the bestest boy? I would be so grateful for a fur-ever home and will shower you with kisses of appreciation for your love!
