“Hey! I’m Selkirk, but my foster pawrents call me Kirk. Everyone falls in love with my amazing personality, intelligence and eagerness to please my foster family!

I have been on a long journey to find my furever home. I would love to join a pack that I can blend right into. I am looking for a family with a confident cainine in the home. This will help me continue on my journey of building confidence. If you have a dog savvy cat, that’s cool with me too.

I can be a bit playful still so I may try and play but if I am told no, I understand boundaries and will leave it be. Sometimes I love my toys a little too much and I don’t always love sharing specifically by cute little squirt rubber chickens. My sharing skills are getting better because my foster mom reassures me there are plenty of toys to go round.

I am very smart and understand basic commands like sit, stay, off, no, leave it, bed, lay down etc. I am currently living in a home with two teenagers , ages 15 and 17. Big kids are cool but smaller kids I am a bit unsure of. If you do have kids, best that they are dog savvy and older. I get along well with dogs and even the ones that are smaller than cats.

I love spending time outside either sniffing around in the back yard or long walks with the pack. I walk very well on a leash and greet other dogs and owners politely. I am very affectionate! I love to cuddle nice and close to you on the couch or the bed if I am allowed.. Belly rubs are my fave too. My previous mom tried to put me in a crate but I managed to escape. When my foster mom now leaves the house she puts me in the den with a peanut butter Kong to keep me busy while I wait for her return.
