You!  Yes, you.  Come closer, and let this sweetheart of an old man (that would be me!) tell you all about myself so that you can rush to come meet me!  My name is Ellis, and I am a distinguished gentleman who knows how to appreciate the finer things in life, such as napping, scritches and soulful gazing out the window. 

I’m an older-in-body-but-not-in-mind kitty and I’ll be the first one to greet you when you enter the room, politely bumping you with my head to let you know that “now is an excellent time for head rubs and chin scritches”.  At the glorious age of 18 I’m an independent kitty (as opposed to one of those clingy kittens!) who likes to be able to watch the action and participate when I want…which is pretty frequently, really!  I love to request cuddles on my terms (which, lets be honest, is rather often), and while I’m not yet a lap kitty my preferred place to be is with you!. 

I am an EXCELLENT hunter of the stuffed mice in short bursts, and if you give me a catnip banana I will love you FOREVER!  I’m a big fan of self-care, so I make sure to put aside time each day for a good bath and then for a few hours of afternoon napping.  If you wanted to nap with me, I wouldn’t mind in the slightest!  I enjoy being around other kitties but I’m just as happy to have you all to myself!
