Duey's Rescue Story:

Hey there, I'm Duey. A couple weeks ago I had the luckiest day of my life. I was rescued by some really nice people from AARCS. My brother and sister and I were very scared, cold and hungry and were hiding underneath a wheelchair ramp. The nice people who came for us worked tirelessly to try and get us out of there...they even had to dismantle the ramp a little bit to get under there and get us out. We were frightened and so was our Mom. All she wanted was to keep us safe and she wasn't sure what these people wanted with us. They assured her they were only there to be nice to us and give us a chance at having a great life. Boy were they right! My foster home is GREAT!! It's warm and cozy and there is food and water all the time. I had no idea life could be so good. I have other dogs and kids to play with and I love all of them.

A little about Duey:

Duey is a lovable and adorable character who keeps us entertained most of the time. He will make a very loyal companion for any loving family. His favorite things are snuggles with his foster parents (he will relax at your feet or on your lap all the time), playing with the big dog in the house (he is always trying to keep up with her), and eating!!!
Duey has had interaction with children and lots of people. He is very gentle and would be good in any home. He has started crate training, and while he does cry a little when left alone, he is able to settle down pretty quickly. Having a small, safe place just for Duey is a must. Duey is starting to learn that peeing outside is a much better choice than the kitchen floor, but he will need consistent reminding in his forever home.
Duey also loves chewing his toys, so a variety of these would be much appreciated.
He would make a great addition to your home- apply to adopt him today!!
