Late November, AARCS volunteers received a phone call about a very pregnant momma dog and were asked if they could bring this very gentle girl into foster care. Absolutely was of course their answer! On December 2nd, Clover (see previously adopted page) began the arduous activity of the day and Forte (pronounced For-tay) was born naturally at 12:30 that afternoon. Clover was already exhausted and her contractions were weakening, so she was taken to emergency care where it was determined the rest of the pups would be born by c-section. That same evening, mom and pups returned to their foster home.
This is Gavotte. She is the little darling of the litter! Currently, Gavotte is just over 5lbs and she will likely grow to be approximately 30lbs, according to her bone structure, paws and face. She is the only one in the litter with a fuzzy coat, which is so soft! We doubt her grown up coat will be really long, but it won?t be a smooth, tight coat like the rest of her litter. Gavotte is one of the happiest puppies we have ever seen and her tail is constantly wagging. She is always ready to play, but does love to stop for a good cuddle. She loves playing in the snow and heads outside before the rest of the litter, often needing to be ?chased down? when it is time to come in. While she is food motivated like most puppies, she simply likes to do what we want her to do! She is a fun loving, gentle little girl who is waiting for her forever family!
