    Story

“Hi! I’m Tukk but my foster family calls me TukTuk as I am an Uber Sledge. It seems like I am a Husky Shepherd mix but I think I am more Husky and less shepherd as I come from way up in Inuvik, in the Northwest Territories. Though I look small in pictures, I am a big strong boy as my body is meant for hauling aaaa….. you know, sledges!

I am house and leash trained but I don’t like the kennel much. I am a really social dog and I love other dogs and people, especially the ones who like to pet, cuddle, and play with me. I get along well with all the dogs I have met so far, but I don’t know how I would be with cats. I look forward to going on my twice daily long two miles+ walks and I walk well with a leash but I do pull it only when we see squirrels or rabbits.

I am really, really active so I love playing with my foster sister who is a bit bigger (she is an Anatolian Shepherd) and we run around the house and the backyard playing tug or just chasing each other. I have had a couple of accidents in the house though especially when we are playing hard and I forgot we were inside. This is rare though and I have learnt my lesson. To be honest, I have also chewed on some charging cables and headphones but it’s not my fault as I got bored and it was right in front of me but I am learning not do that. I am really smart as I know all the basic sit, come, stay commands. Someone calls Tuk Tuk and I run to them even if I am napping. I love treats so I guess its easy for me to learn new tricks.

I like to sleep by doors where its a bit cooler but after sometime I miss my foster parents so I silently snuggle between them while they are asleep. My foster sister loves me a lot and she will be sad when I go, but hopes I can find a furever home where I will be as happy as she is with my foster family.

I am ready to go to my furever home where I can give and receive lots and lots of cuddles, run, play, and learn how to be the best dog I can be. I hope you can be that furever, happy home for me!!!” – xo, Tukk
