    Story

Hi my name is Linda, but my foster family calls me Lilly! I am approximately 5 months old so still a puppy in a growing body looking to find my forever home.

“I currently have been in my foster home for about 2 months now and it was a big learning curve as I was rescued and brought to the shelter at approximately 4 months old. I have since been well I was taken care of from a nice lady with food and water – before this, I really did not have much interaction with humans or a warm house to call my own. My foster mom says I adapted really quick and slept in my crate the first night next to her bed all night long and felt very safe. I still love bedtime as I get to snuggle into my crate next to my foster parents bed and wait till I hear the alarm to get up and start my day! I am house trained now, I know to do my business outside – I just have to remind my foster parents when I have to go. My foster family works during the week full time so I have to be in a crate during the day, I am not the biggest fan of that but I know they always leave me good treats and chewy toys and always come home to let me out. I am still a bit fearful of new sounds and cautious around new people I meet, my fosters say I need proper introduction and to learn to trust people slowly. I am a energetic dog that requires walks and play time to get rid of this puppy energy. I play hard but then relax hard. I am learning leash manners but still have some work to do, as this whole “”walking on leash”” thing is new to me! I am learning new cues such as “”sit”” and “”down””, and I will learn quickly for a treat. Because I am a shy pup, I will need a confident older dog to learn from and play with in my future home! Older kids are best (15+), as young crazy kids might scare me and backtrack my progress. A home with a yard would be better for me than an apartment, as I may be overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds of the big human world.
I am learning so much and have made so much progress, so if you are looking to help a shy pup like me, look no further!”

Silly Lilly is waiting to meet you!
