“Hi, I’m Brenda! AKA Chicken.
Why “Chicken”? Well, when my foster mom brought me home she started calling me Chicken because I was scared of EVERYTHING. I hid under the bed for about 4 days until I could be sure nothing in this new place was going to hurt me. The thing is, I used to be a pretty feral kitty, so being inside of a home at all was a big step for me.
However, things have definitely changed. After those first few days I got pretty bored of hiding under the bed and decided to go make friends with the resident cat and dog! I even discovered that if I come out from under the bed I can get pets and scratches and I love those! Also, did you know there are TOYS that you can just play with whenever you want?! The other cat and the big dog are really cool. I’m SO curious about them but they like their space, so sometimes my foster mom steps in when I’m getting too eager to play with them. I sure love hanging out with people though and they seem to like me too!
Even though I came to AARCS as a bit of a feral feline, I learned how to use the litter box in my foster home right away and I have the same skills as any regular domesticated cat! The only difference is my apparently funny feral mannerisms that my foster mom always laughs at me for.
I’d really love to meet you and become a part of your family! Bonus points if you like to give chin scratches!”
