My name is technically Mumford, but I don’t really know it well enough to respond to it yet! I am a very good dog, and am learning the routines of my foster house and my foster family. I LOVE my people and get super excited when they get home!!! I love pets and scratches and cuddles, and sometimes my foster people get on the floor to snuggle and it’s my favourite! Walks are the best, even though I have to stay on leash, and sometimes I’m just so happy that I get the zoomies in the house or back yard and it makes my foster family happy with me. I am an explorer at heart though, so I need a good, tall fence to keep me in so I don’t get lost. I haven’t been trained much and still need to learn some house manners, but am super smart (when I want to be, because I am a Husky after all). I would LOVE to find an adventure family of my own – my foster mom started taking me for trail runs and I’m really good at it – and I’m told I’d probably be a good mountain dog. I would fit best in a family with no dogs or maybe one larger dog (as long as I get to be the boss), and older kids (because teenagers love me).
I’m about three years old and came from Northern Saskatchewan to AARCS around Thanksgiving. I am thought to have been a free range dog all those years, but I am really good with people so may have had positive interactions with people in the past. I eat well and am recovering from some skin issues and fur matting, but am good to go now.
Let me be your adventure buddy!
