I am a super-sweet, affectionate character who wants to join your family. I am quiet at first but once I get to know you my goofy playful side comes out, I’m really just out of puppyhood so I can be energetic when the mood takes me and I need lots of play and interaction to vent my energy and I still need some help to understand not to playbite when I get a bit hyper. I am totally cool with being handled and am super relaxed with being stroked and groomed, and will even loll on my back for a cuddle. Oh, and I love belly rubs! I do sometimes chew on things so you’ll need to help me learn what is ok to play with and not let me chew on my leash! I’m doing really well with potty-training and only have an accident if I really need to go and my foster parents don’t realise and let me out. I am OK with going in my crate but I really like being around my people so I get a bit anxious if one of them leaves and I do cry if I’m left alone in my crate, though sometimes I settle quickly. I love to learn and know sit, stay, leave it and lie down already, get my interest with treats and I am very trainable and super smart. I don’t pull much on the leash (unless I see a squirrel!) but I still need to be taught proper leash walking.
I have made massive strides with my confidence especially with other dogs and will often offer to play with dogs in the park now, I can be a little cautious and don’t want to be crowded but I will take my space if I need it and I just need you to help me get more comfortable with this and feel safe. I think I might really love to live with another dog as long as it had good boundaries as it would really help me express my playful side. I am very smart and curious especially with new things, I am gentle and social and I love to be around people. Be my new family and I will love you forever!
