“Meow! My name is Hay and I’m a sweet little orange kitty that loves chin scratches, rubs behind my ears. I also absolutely love to play! At first, I was really shy and wanted to stay in my carrier, but now I am more confident and affectionate! Probably, because my foster humans play with me so much.”

Hay is an adorable kitty that has come a long way out of her shyness! You can tell by the way she rubs her head on your hand if you get distracted and stop petting her. She especially loves scratches under her chin and behind her ears. We recently found out that she also enjoys being brushed – you’ll hear her purr the loudest if you brush her. She’s got the gentlest meows and although she seems timid at first, she warms up to you rather quickly.

She loves to play, and chasing wand toys with simple attachments are her favorite. Right now, she loves chasing a short blue string and could do so for hours if we could keep up! It’s so nice to see a shy kitty come out of her shell and we so look forward to helping her find her forever home!

Hay has experience living with other cats, but she should be introduced very slowly because she’s still quite shy with kitties. She loves to play with our other cats & fosters by pawing under the door but we’ll have to keep working with her to introduce her to each cat. That being said, she should be able to integrate into a home with other cats, but it’ll take more some love and patience to get there!

Hay’s waiting to meet you – she’d love a few scratches, a belly rub and a serious game of catch the string!

From incredibly shy to wonderfully playful – will you be Hay’s forever family?
