This beautiful girl is so smart and full of personality! She loves to cuddle and to play!
“Lando, as we have been calling her, is looking for a family to love her forever! She is the sweetest, gentlest giant. She came into AARCS care after an unfortunate encounter with a porcupine, so needless to say, small fuzzy creatures are not her friend.
Lando is an expert sleeper, and snores louder than my husband! Orlanda is a calmer, easygoing girl who would like a quieter home where she can relax. When she first moved into our foster home, she bonded much more quickly with me than my husband. While she is a sweetheart, she can get a little shy, and requires a home where all members of the family can work on bonding with her. She definitely enjoys a more chilled out lifestyle, sleeping on the couch, and nice slow walks! She walks perfectly on leash, her only distractions are the small fuzzies like bunnies or squirrels. She is currently living with another calmer older dog, who she gets along well with. She was used at the shelter by the behaviour team to help them see how other dogs behaved in dog interactions, and was great with all of the ones that she met.
She is always looking for the next adventure, so if your home has a yard it has to be secure to ensure that she stays safe! She is not the biggest fan of the kennel and would prefer to hang out in the house, so she is left to roam the home during the day and night and is pretty well behaved. Still, it’s best if you keep all your shoes in a closet so she’s not tempted!
This girl is such a joy to be with! I really love her! The personality and smarts she has are 2 of the most amazing things about her! And if you want a dog that will be happy to go hiking with you and just as happy to snuggle under the blankets on the couch with you, then this is your girl!”
