    Young at heart and spirit!

“HI! I’m Abs!! I’m a senior lady at 10 years old, but don’t get any preconceived notions about that. I recently went through surgery to repair ligament damage in my knee. Foster Mom is so happy to see the changes in me since surgery, and thrilled that my recovery went very well. I am good as new and can play just like a teenager. I came into care very scared, I was in a lot of pain and missed my family so I cried, a lot. Fast forward 2 months and things are so much different, no more crying for this gal. I love, love, love to play, chasing my frisbee, squirrels (yes, I sure do!), and my favorite thing is squeaky toys. Oh, and how can I forget I LOVE my walks. Foster mom is amazed how smart I am, I know exactly what she is talking about and she has learnt that she needs to be serious if the w word comes up, you know…. WALK. I am a bit nervous about the cuddles, but am happy to give you a big sloppy kiss. Scratches on my face, neck, ears, legs and belly rubs are so amazing. Don’t tell foster mom but I run the house! I tell her when it’s bedtime, when I want to eat, to go outside for my business, and of course when you have company I need to check them out first! I can be excited when I see other dogs on leash, but I could get along with another older dog like me just fine.
I have had a ton of changes recently, and with the love and support from my AARCS family I am thriving and I cannot wait for you to adopt me.
I am the perfect dog! Already trained, happy, healthy and ready to love you.”

Adopt me, I’ll bring joy to your home
