    Story

Could you be the one for this beautiful lady?

Imogene was rescued while trying to care for six sickly kittens who desperately needed medical attention. Sadly, one of her kittens didn’t survive but we did manage to save the rest. Through all of the road trips, vet visits, and medications, Imogene was an incredible mom who always put her babies first. Now they are all about to embark on their new life journeys and Imogene deserves to find a wonderful home who will spoil her for the rest of her days.

Imogene is used to humans being around, but she hasn’t been handled much in her life. Although she tries to act scary and will hiss at you, she truly isn’t mean spirited. Once she has had some time to get to know you, she will start to relax. As long as you move slowly, talk to her softly, and make your intentions clear, Imogene will allow herself to be touched and handled. With time, patience, and dedication in the right home, she will eventually become a wonderful companion. Because she is so shy she needs a calm and quiet home and would not be a good pet for children.

She is very attached to her kittens (particularly her daughter Isadora) and they help to bring out the best in her. They are showing her that humans can be trusted and also encourage her to come out of hiding and interact with the world. It would be wonderful if she could be adopted together with one of her kittens or into a home with an existing confident feline companion who could help to bring her out of her shell.

Could you give her a new life in a loving home?
