“I am a sweet shy girl who is looking for a very special family to build up my confidence so I can shower you with the affection I so badly want to give.”
Butternut came to us as a baby with a baby. She is such a good momma even though she was only 6 months old when she had Creamsicle.
She has adapted well to living indoors and being around people and now seeks attention and love from me. She is still a little unsure around men for some reason but with time and patience she will come around.
Butternut is way more confident when her baby, Creamsicle, is around – they play together a lot (probably because she is still a kitten herself). I am sure they would love to be adopted together. Butternut is not a huge fan of our big dogs – perhaps a home with no dogs would be the best fit for her or someone who knows how to introduce very slowly. She is also a little unsure of our other resident cat and fosters. She is not aggressive towards them – she is more unsure and afraid but is coming around with the kittens.
Butternut gets quite excited when you are interacting with her and petting her and sometimes when she gets overstimulated she tries to bite. I have found that a finger wag and a “”no”” is enough to make her stop. It is never an aggressive action, I think she thinks she is playing.
She is very good about using her litter box and we have had no accidents since she came to us and she loves her cat stands and scratching posts.
“I am a beautiful girl who is full of love – please give me a chance!”
