This gorgeous girl is Prairie. Although Prairie is a bit on the timid side, she has made enormous progress while in our home and we know that there is more to come!
Prairie didn’t get as much socialization and love as she needed when she was younger, so she is nervous of new people and new places. For the first few weeks that she was in our home, she was intensely nervous when anyone was near her. Once we discovered that she is deaf, we found new ways to earn her trust. Now, she loves to spend time in the same room as us and watch us as we go about our activities. She enjoys spending time with our resident cats and would do well in a home with others that she can bond with. Prairie has yet to become a cuddler, but we hope that that day will come!
