Hi! I’m Teddy but my foster mom calls me Violet because she thinks it’s more girly – even though I’m super cuddly.

I heard my mom tell me I’m like a ray of sunshine, because I’m always making her smile. There’s nothing about life that I don’t think is the greatest thing ever (except maybe being left alone, that’s not my favourite). I love to give kisses and snuggle and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my kibble. My foster mom takes me for lots of little walks outside in the yard where I can bounce and run and find treasures to chew on. I don’t really mind the harness and leash, I even think I’m starting to understand how all that ‘follow the leader’ stuff works. Sometimes I like to walk with the leash in my mouth like I have a prize, and that makes my mom laugh.

There’s a cat that lives here and I tell her whenever I see her that I’m really excited to play with her, but I don’t think she likes that idea (what does she know?). I haven’t met any dogs yet but with a proper intro I bet we’d be fine. I’ve been sleeping in my kennel quietly through the night and I’m doing really good at learning to do my business outside. Hardly any accidents!

I’m pretty easygoing but I’m still a typical puppy and I do like to experience the world with my mouth, especially if I’m bored. If I’m left alone I will tell my mom that I dislike that fairly loudly, until I get tired, that is. Then I just curl up and nap or chew on my toy. She says I must be pretty smart though because I seem to learn things really quick.

I can’t wait to fill someone’s day with sunshine
