Handsome, sweet and loving boy looking for a home to call his own.

“Hi, I’m Cheema. My foster mom tells me I’m the sweetest boy with the biggest heart and I make her so happy. I think it makes her happy that I’m much more confident with new people and new situations than I was when I first started living here. I don’t run and hide when people come over anymore. I come and say hi to them. I’m cautious, but very curious and the curiosity makes me face my fears. I even met a small human! My foster mom called her a “kid”. I had never seen one of those before and I really liked her. She was little, and she was a bit shy like me, so she was not scary at all. When I first arrived at my foster home, I would hide under the bed or the couch and my foster mom would have to coax me out for a pet. The smallest noise would send me running for under the bed again. Not anymore! I like to snuggle up and watch TV with my foster dad now and I sleep with my foster family every night.

I like to play with my foster brothers and sisters. We play running and jumping games and we chase toys around. I really like big soft catnip toys best. I can toss them around all day. Even more than I like to play, I love to be pet. I’ll do just about anything for a head scratch or a soft stroke down my back. I also love to be brushed. It just makes me so happy that I purr and purr. I have been known to chat a bit with my foster family. I like to make happy trilling noises to let them know how happy I am. It makes my foster mom smile. I’m always the first cat to meet them at the door when they come home and I chat with them about their day.

Now that I’m more confident, I’m ready for my forever home. I think a bit quieter home would suit me, but a home with small humans, oh right “kids”, would probably work for me too if they’re older or they know to go slow until I get used to things. I’m a laid-back guy once I get to know you and get familiar with my surroundings. It might take me a bit of time but I’m worth the wait.

If you think I sound like a great friend for you, please click the adopt button and come meet me.”
