Are you looking for a sweet, playful floof who loves the outdoors and loves to snuggle? Mindi might just be the girl for you!

Mindi is an approx. 8 year old mixed breed dog who is a real sweetheart! She is completely house trained and has lovely manners. She takes treats ever so gently and loves to snuggle up to her people. She knows sit, down, stay and wait. Mindi has the run of our family room during the day and sleeps quietly and peacefully all night. She loves to go for walks and has some real pep in her step while playing fetch. She enjoys saying hi to all human and doggie friends while out and about. She is quite good on leash but can serpentine in front of you so as not to miss a single smell. We have guessed she may have some husky in her as we’ve experienced a couple of her long and soulful howls. And she just can’t pass up a good snow bank…she absolutely loves to roll in the snow. She is unfamiliar with hardwood and tile, it seems, but thinks carpet is wonderful. She gets along well with our resident dogs and she is very playful. She has not been a huge fan of dry kibble so we’ve mixed with a bit of canned food and she gobbles it down. She came into care with a lump on her side that will be removed by the AARCS vet. A home with someone home more often than not and a calm but playful doggie friend would be a dreamy home for Mindi. She has, on occasion, jumped up when excited but responds well to correction. She is a real cuddle bug and enjoys sitting close and holding paws. She is such a sweet and gentle dog and will make a wonderful companion.
