Hiya! My name is Koi, yup, I’m just like the mysterious fish because I have lots of different markings – I’m a sweet little surprise!
I have been laying low lately as I lost a bit of fur and I’m working hard on growing it back – I’m healthy now and getting more and more more furry every day! With all this time on my paws, though, I’ve been thinking a lot about my future career prospects and these are some of my choices:
First of all, I think I would make an amazing hypnotist. Every time I catch those tall two-legged fur-less creatures looking into my eyes, they become putty in my paws. ‘Cuddle me’, ‘Feed me’, ‘Pet me’, ‘Play with me’… whatever I wish for, they bow to my will.
My second pick might be a magician… I sometimes wish I could weave a spell and be invisible…especially when humans start squeaking about how cute I am and reaching for me. It might be because I feel a bit bashful that my fur’s still a little patchy in spots, but I definitely prefer to come out of my shell on my own terms. That and I think I’d look a-maz-ing in a magician’s cape!
However, after watching the cooking shows on TV, I thought maybe I could become a professional food-taster…I would definitely be willing to wake up early each day to eat anything you offer and train my palate to distinguish all the different flavours!!
Who knows… I might also be pretty good at acrobatics… I can pounce, spring up and down stairs, roll over, jump, and tumble already. My dismounts off the couch are improving every day!
My life-coach (aka foster mom) thinks she can find just the right family to help me fulfill my lifelong learning goals – she said I will need someone with lots of love to share, who will be patient and kind, who wants to play loads of fun games, and who is willing to teach me how to dog.
I can’t wait to find the right human to help me strengthen my talents and explore the world of possibilities out there. Is that you?
