Squawk! (Sorry, just waking up from a snooze!)
Don’t worry, I may sound a little like a pterodactyl when I yawn, but I am 100% dog… with maybe a bit of unicorn on my great-great-grandma’s side.
The humans call me Jessa most of the time, but they also often say ‘oh-my-gosh’ and ‘what-a-sweetheart’ when I’m around, too, so it’s kinda confusing.
I am a delicate little floofball as I mosey through my daily grind, and love to watch the world float past me. I can seem a bit shy at first, but I am just evaluating things to make sure I bestow my love and kisses only on the most worthiest of humans and animals.
I am quite ladylike in most of my daily activities, and will play tug and chase with the other dogs in my foster home as long as they don’t get too rough – at that point, I will find a safe space to show my belly and stay out of the fray – save the drama for the llamas I say!
Despite generally being a majestic wee toe-licker, dinner time brings out the gargoyle in me – the second I see the pantry door open I will plow through my foster mom’s legs and try to dive face first into the kibble bag. I have no shame. I have succeeded in the past (because my foster human is slow), but she’s on to me… so it’s kind of a challenge now to convince my sister to distract the human while I stealthily manoeuvre into the cupboard to stuff my face. I have a svelte figure to maintain!
A secret that you might not discover during our first meeting is that I loooove to sing. My 12 siblings and I were thinking of starting the Baker’s Dozen Choir, but life has nudged me into breaking out as a solo artist! I’m still trying to work out my stage name, though, so I’m hoping you have some connections and can give me a name fit for the red carpet.
Would you be interested in taking in an endearing, cuddly little creature like me for the next hundred months or more? If so, get on it, please, I can’t wait to meet you, too!
