“Hello friends! My name is Matilda and I am looking to find my perfect forever home! Maybe it’s yours! Here’s the scoop, I am looking for an active family to go on many exciting adventures with! I would make a great hiking companion and have lots of energy to share with you. Being outside is my most favourite thing ever — even if it’s snowing! I say, bring it on! Although, there might be a time or two where I’ll need a coat to keep me warm.

I am a pretty powerful walker and want to chase all the birds and rabbits that I see — so having a harness on can be helpful and keeps me on track. Toys are fun to bring on walks too…Just saying… I don’t want to sound conceited but I’ve got a super-fantastic nose and I have been told that I am very smart, so maybe we could do some training or agility together or even one of those nose-workshops I’ve been hearing about! *sniff-sniff*

There is this thing that I have been dreading to tell you… You see, I want you all to myself and I am not keen on sharing you with another dog or cat… I can be quite reactive and it’s become a habit of mine — BUT PLEASE don’t hold it against me, I’m excellent one-on-one and I promise I will be your bestest buddy in the whole-wide-world if you’ll commit to me! If you’re at work, I am perfectly fine in a kennel and enjoy having some time to myself. However, if you wanted to give me some chews while you’re gone, I’d be okay with that too! ;) Maybe you might not be the right fit for me, but maybe you know someone looking for an active companion who loves to travel, explore and needs a dog named…Matilda…DUH!” — xo Matilda
