    Story

    Drum roll please……Introducing Elfie!

It’s been a bit of a journey, but at last I’m now ready to find my forever home. My broken leg is healed up and a few more weeks of chilling and then look out world. I’m a spunky, tiny, adorable, ball of scruffiness. Yes…I could use a nice haircut, being shaved in different areas for surgery has given me an interesting look you might say.
I am the absolute best cuddler, I literally can fall asleep being cradled like a baby. Sometimes though I get so excited on moms lap that I mouth her fingers. I stop as soon as she says AH AH so perhaps kids over 8 are best for me, as this might scare the wee ones.
I love being with my people, but also do well in a crate at bedtime. I enjoy playing with dog toys, and chew bones. I know to do my business outside, but still won’t let you know that I have to go. You just have to watch for my “got to go potty” signals. I do enjoy the outdoors when it’s not too cold for me. I will definitely need a doggy coat for the upcoming winter. I enjoy meeting new people, and love being around other dogs. However, since I’m so tiny, large dogs can’t be too rough with me. My BFF is the 100lb resident dog I’m living with, she is so gentle with me.
I’d say my ideal day would be to lay in a sun ray on a comfy dog bed chewing on a toy or of course on your lap hehe…

P.S. one other note…whomever adopts me will need to bring me back to the wonderful AARCS vet clinic in a month to get my baby teeth rechecked. We are hoping they will all fall out in a timely manner.

If you have a caring heart and a soft lap, perhaps we should meet!
