    Story

“Hi! My name is Fraction and I am a very handsome crazy kitten. I used to be a ‘fraction’ of the size of my foster siblings, but I’ve had a growth spurt and now I’m almost as big as them (or at least I like to think I am).

I have a heart murmur, but I don’t let that stop me. When I play too hard I get the cutest little pant and then my foster mom makes me take a break to catch my breath. It’s really hard to stop in the middle of playing, but I know that once I stop panting I can start running around like the crazy little monster my foster mom loves. I LOVE playing with toys and can make almost anything that isn’t a toy into a toy if my foster mom will let me. I love shoelaces and twist ties and hair clips & elastics & those rubber finger things that my foster mom uses for sorting paper. You name it, if it has the slightest possibility of being played with I shall discover and steal it. I am a bit of a clepto in that respect, I like to carry everything around the house and then hide it, so no one can find it (including myself).

I am still in my biting phase and like to chew and bite everything, much to my foster sibling’s dismay. But we’re working very very hard on that. I am slowly learning that people and kitties are not for biting, but all of my toys are OK. I am very shy around strangers and need time to get to know you before I’m comfortable being with you, but once I know you’re OK I’m a very sweet boy (especially if you have my favorite shrimp treats or toys for me to play with). I don’t cuddle a lot because I have so much to do in a day, there’s only so many toys I can play with in the couple of hours that I’m awake. But when I’m feeling cuddly look out, I cuddle as hard as I play. My favorite is laying straight on my back with my arms stretched out, so you can scratch my arm pits. Apparently, this is weird for cats, but it’s my favorite. I don’t like to be picked up or help against my will and make a funny noise when I’m expressing this dislike. My purr sounds like a motor and is triggered by pretty much anything as long as I’m not in Monster Mode and then sometimes even in Monster Mode if I’m having a really fun time.

I can’t wait to meet my purrrfect family.”
