    Story

Everyone is asking – who is that dog with the big personality and the floppy ear? Why, it’s our most eligible AARCS bachelor, of course! Meet Hendrix.

This charming guy isn’t going to settle for any ol’ run of the mill family – that may be all well and good for Bear or Daisy, but Hendrix craves someone who revels in the simple joys of life just as much as he does. He’s a versatile young gent, who would gladly explore the mountains by your side, or be just as content to receive some belly scratches while you watch your favorite movies together. He certainly fancies himself a lap dog. Oh, you already own a dog perhaps? Well, lucky for you, he LOVES playing with other dogs, and in classic Hendrix style, that love is excessive and exuberant. Even though he may come on strong, he sure has made his way into the hearts of some of his very best canine pals.

Hendrix is a brilliant and loyal creature. He has been a joy and a challenge to train. I’m pretty sure he trained me more so than I trained him. He can’t wait to show you some of the tricks he has picked up. He is house trained, knows his basic cues, and even has a few extra ones up his sleeve. He is looking for someone who can be patient with him while he learns how to walk nicely on leash – it’s just that the outside world can get quite exciting, and he has a hard time containing his glee in being out in it. He is also hoping to find someone who can help him feel more comfortable with gaining some independence. And more than anything, he is just looking for someone he can place his heart with.
