Hemi is a big, goofy, playful boy that loves to be around his family a lot.
Hemi came into AARCS care in June with his siblings and from the very first night he started to open up as his was a bit shy. Hemi is a big clumsy lovable pup that will be a large dog when fully grown, so it is important for him to continue his training with not jumping up, not mouthing, walking on the leash and just teaching him to be gentle. He is a bit leery of people he does not know and will woof at them, but we are working on this with him and tell him, “It’s okay.” He sleeps all night in his crate and does not make a fuss but when he has to go potty, he has to go right away. So when he starts to sniff around you need to get him outside.
Hemi enjoys running around the back yard with his foster families big dogs and when he gets tired he crash’s for an hour or two.
He is a very sweet boy that will be a large dog, has a lot of energy and will need a yard to run around in.
