    Story

    Meet Starr!

Starr is a very energetic young girl with lots of love to give. She loves to play so would do well in a home with a dog that can match her energy level and help her burn off some of her energy but we think she would be good by herself as well as long as she’s getting proper exercise. She likes to spend time outside so having a fenced in yard would be great for her.
Starr is still young and didn’t receive a lot of formal training so is starting to learn some of the basics. She responds well to treats and affection so is proving to be a pretty quick learner and eager to please. She wasn’t house-trained so that’s something we’re working on but she hasn’t had an accident in her kennel at all. She will sleep through the night in her kennel and will wait patiently to be let out in the morning.
Starr doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of toys but really loves to have a bone or an antler to chew on. She doesn’t seem interested in human stuff at all so no need to worry about ruined shoes!
Starr has also been really great on our walks. She has a special harness and doesn’t pull much at all. She is interested in birds and squirrels but has never tried to chase them. When meeting other dogs she is calm and quickly forgets about them as soon as you walk past.
Starr would do best in a home without small children as she has a zest for life that may be overwhelming for them. She is very affectionate but is still learning how to properly show her affection for you.
