    Story

Alaska is a wonderful, sweet girl looking for a home with a lot of patience to give her the time and attention she needs to learn what a loving family and home is like!

Alaska came into the shelter after being attacked repeatedly by another dog. She is quiet, smart, and sweet, but very anxious at this time. She needs a family who is willing to spend the time and give her the patience it takes to re-learn that the world is not a scary place. She will need proper introductions to both humans and other animals. She is a large dog and therefore has some strength to her and when she gets anxious she can retreat, run, or be a little destructive. She has not shown any violent or aggressive tendencies when she gets nervous.
She really enjoys the outdoors but a fenced backyard to play around in is best for now as when we go on walks they are short given that little noises will scare her and she does try to run.

Alaska has a ton of potential to be an awesome companion! If you are looking to invest a little time and love into a pup that will really change your life… here she is!

Does this Animal have Special Needs?
      Both, Medical and Behavioral

She is recovering currently from 2 removed teeth, a hernia, injuries from a dog attack, and her spay. For behaviour, she is extremely anxious/nervous right now. She reacts to small noises (not violently, rather retreats or tries to run) and doesn’t like to be approached.
