World, Meet: Winston! Winston is an extremely kind, gentle and timid boy, just looking for a family to love.
Winston was found roaming around outside with some other doggies way up North, but luckily, his “”traveling”” days are over. He simply loves to be in a home, curled up with his people and doggy friends. As this whole “”home”” thing is new to him, and he hasn’t always known that humans are safe, he is still getting used to it all and making sure everyone is A-OK! In the meantime, Winston can be shy and timid when new people pet him or stand over him, and he will shy away a bit and duck his head, maybe taking a few steps back. With that said though, Winston is one of the sweetest, most gentle boys around, and as soon as he feels safe, he lets you know by loving the heck out of you!
Winston absolutely loves to be patted and given attention (don’t forget about him- he will remind you he is there and would like some love!). He is happy to play with his foster siblings, snooze on the couch or dog bed, or go for a nice long stroll. He probably has never had to learn things that humans like dogs to do like “sit”, “stay”, and “come”, so he doesn’t know those yet, and would do great with a family who can teach him those things; although it may take a little extra time, love and patience. Winston gave the whole “crate-training” thing a try, and although he did pretty well and sat quietly for the most part, he has let his foster home know he really would much rather relax on a soft spot outside of the kennel. We have been told he can cry and bark when left all alone, and so it is really really important for Winston to either have a dog to keep him company at home. Besides, Winston is visibly a much happier, relaxed, and confident pup when he has his canine friends around! Overall, Winston makes a wonderful, gentle, happy addition to a home with his affection, loyalty, snuggles, and companionship.
