Oh. Em. Gee. You will not believe what just happened to me!

Hi! I’m Houdini, and have I got a story for you! Just a few months ago, I was living way up north, by myself, out in the cold, and then these people came and did the WEIRDEST thing – they put me in a box and drove me away from there! I have to say, I really didn’t like that box. So I chewed my way out. So then they put me in another box just like it – silly, really. I chewed my way out of it, too. I’m told that’s why I’m called Houdini. I spent the rest of the drive sitting with the driver, looking out the window, and that was much better!

I’ve been living with a family for a while now, and am getting used to living inside. I spent the first little while I was here hiding under a desk, but I MUCH prefer to hang out with everyone else! I have two foster fur-brothers that I love to play with, and I recently discovered the couch – why did no one ever tell me about couches?! Best thing EVER! I’m a huge cuddler, and love to fall asleep on the couch with my foster mom. I’m still anxious outside – there’s so much noise and movement out there – but I recently started going out on my own if the door is left open for me, and settle in to walk nicely on leash after a few minutes of pulling. I sleep in my very own bedroom, and hang out there during the day while all the people are out – foster mom says it’s best for house-training purposes. I’ve learned to sit, and am learning not to take my dinner until I’m told I can. That’s tough!

I’ve come a really long way, and I’m still adjusting to all the changes, but I’m ready for my next adventure!
