Sweetie looking for her home ❤️

Hi I’m Ruby Doo and at the age of 9 looking for a home that would be sooo happy to have me . I have beautifully colored fur and I’m sooo soft. I am calm, loving, snuggly, don’t bark, I don’t eat remotes (or anything in your home … except yummy food). I walk well on my harness leash and love to dawdle the whole way with the other senior doggie in the house but I can still zoom around in the snow happily or curl up on the couch with you. I come fully house trained…yay!!! I love to be hugged and kissed.

    Beautiful Happy Sweetheart

    Rescue Tail

We want to share Miss Ruby-Doo’s heart-wrenching tail… This senior lady (approx. 9 years old) sustained a significant injury prior to being found by rescuers from Strays That Can’t Pay Inc. Quite a bit of time had passed since her initial injury but she was displaying symptoms of trauma and swelling around her face with no obvious wounds or scarring. At that point, no one could have anticipated what had happened to poor Ruby-Doo. It was assumed at the time that she had been hit by a car or a blunt object causing her facial injuries.

GRAB THE KLEENEX… It wasn’t until Ruby-Doo was transferred into AARCS’ care and she was able to get a much-needed dental for her broken teeth and infected gums. During her procedure, pieces of metal were discovered in her jaw. This is what led our medical team to also request x-rays which regrettably confirmed that Ruby-Doo had been shot, leaving bullet fragments throughout her skull. We were in complete and utter shock. It’s an absolute miracle that she survived!

We cannot even begin to imagine the pain she has suffered at the hands of reckless humans… Due to the scattered fragmentation, it was agreed upon by our veterinary specialists that we should just continue to monitor Ruby-Doo as surgical removal would be extremely difficult and invasive for this older gal.

Despite all of this, Ruby-Doo is a happy-go-lucky girl and we thank our lucky stars that she was rescued in the nick of time. It is animals just like Ruby-Doo that remind us to be kind, be gentle and love unconditionally. By working together to save the lives of animals, we may not be able to change the whole world, but we can change the whole world for her. ❤️

Consider making a donation on Ruby-Doo’s behalf, to help save countless lives of animals in need at Thank you very much for your kindness and compassion.
