Cora was rescued along with her six young puppies who have all been adopted! Now it’s Cora’s turn!!! Initially when Cora came into AARCS’ care, she was quite shut down and shy. As time passes, Cora has really opened up and come out of her shell! She is engaging more and more with the people she is familiar with. We’ve discovered that Cora has a very playful side once she gets comfortable in her new environment.
She is fully house-trained and is currently working on her leash manners as she has a tendency to pull — an easy walk harness works great with Cora! Surprise… Cora LOVES GOING FOR WALKS! She gets quite excited and is very happy to be out and about. This sweet girl is a total snuggle-bug…Sometimes she even comes to cuddle in bed, but will also stay off if asked. Treats and food are her weakness — she is very gentle when accepting them. In her foster home, Cora loves to play with all the toys and is happy and eager to play with the resident dogs too!
Ideally, Cora would be best suited to a home with a family who has some prior dog experience that can continue to work on boosting her confidence. Perhaps attending some doggy training classes with her so that she can form a bond with her new people would be a good choice. A home without cats or small dogs would be best for Cora.
