HI HUMANS!! How do you do? Is there anything I can do for you? Would you like me to sit? How about if I lay down? Squirrel!

Guys, I have been in AARCS’ care for quite some time, just waiting for my surgery and stuff… something about having congenital intrahepatic portosystemic shunt… anyways, it doesn’t slow me down any, and my friends at the vet clinic say they’re going to fix me all up! I’m a whole year old now, and I have been learning so much. The behaviour team tells me that my walking skills are pretty terrific, and I’m learning how to stay in my crate, sit, and ask politely for things I want. They laugh at how easily I lose focus, but there are just so many interesting things going on all the time!

I get pretty attached to my people, and they say I’m a Houdini when it comes to being able to escape from my crate. I don’t know why they are so surprised, I am really smart after all. Anyways, I’m just trying to get out so I can be with my people AND so I can find any yummy food they leave out for me. I’m pretty sure that bag of food on the counter had my name on it – they were just testing to see if I was smart enough to break out of my crate, jump over the baby gate, and then onto the counter to get it. Easy Peasy! I passed with flying colours. You’d think they would try to make it more challenging for me.

Well everybody, my buds at AARCS say they are going to keep you posted on my journey to adoptability. I’m sorry that you can’t apply for me right now, I really don’t mean to be such a tease!
