Butler is a lovely fellow with a very friendly and gentle disposition.
Butler arrived at AARCS from northern Saskatchewan and has a full, fluffy winter coat to show that he knows how to brave the cold. So far he has proven himself to be a cheerful guy who loves going for walks. One of his quirks is that he likes to find rocks and bury them in the snow, only to dig them out and bury them again, while looking over at you as if to say “isn’t this the greatest!” He is an adult dog, fully housetrained and has not needed to be in his crate at night or when the fosters leave the house during the day. He prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed or in doorways and waits for you to get up to get the day started. Although Butler has his own food, he is no stranger to using his brown eyes to ask you politely to share some of yours. However, he is always polite and never jumps up. He is playful and loves to roll onto his back for belly rubs. Butler has been friendly with other dogs he has met and would be a great family dog. Butler seems like he has spent a lot of his life outdoors and would do well in a home where he has plenty of opportunity to be outside.

Does this Animal have Special Needs?
Butler has a slight limp in his front right leg from an old injury. This doesn’t seem to get in the way of his enthusiasm for getting outside and exploring.
