“Hi my name is Fawn and I’m so excited for my furever home to find me! My foster mom and dad say I’m the sweetest young girl who just loves to cuddle and play and frolic outside, I hope you’ll have a yard for you and I to play in! Maybe you can even take me along on your outdoor adventures!
Although I’m still a little girl, I’m growing really fast and I’m not sure how big I’m going to get, my foster parents call me their little fur toddler, isn’t that cute! I think they call me a toddler because I’m starting to get the hang of things but still have lots to learn. My foster parents also tell me that I’m very smart, observant and a quick leaner. I’m a very short time, I’ve learned my own name, and I respond to, “”sit, come, good girl, down & no””- i’m so smart! I’ve also learnt that my crate isn’t scary and that’s where I get to hang out with my chew toys when I’m home alone. Sleeping through the night can be hard sometimes because when I’m awake, I want someone to be awake with me so we can play! Sometimes I really need some cuddle time before going back to sleep so I don’t forget that I’m safe and we’re going to have more fun when the sun comes up.
Updated: I’ve overcome my fear of the leash and LOVE spending time outside, especially at the dog park and on nature walks! The dog park is the absolute best place in the world because I can play with other four-legged friends and make more human friends! I love kids too, I’m so gentle with them and the dog park has lots of those! (Maybe my future family will have a fur OR a human brother or sister for me!?) I love nature walks because my cute little nose just loves to smell all the trees and learn earthy smells and I just feel so happy when I can frolic beside my foster parents on a walk in the trees. For some reason, I don’t like to go to the bathroom outside, my foster parents and I are working together on this and I need you to please be extra extra patient with me as I learn that the bathroom is outside and not inside. I’m still not too crazy for neighborhood or city walks just yet, I don’t know what to make of those loud and fast car things, and those strange cement sidewalks and roads. My nose can also get me into trouble if I come across something that’s not meant as puppy snacks, please pay lots of attention to me to make sure I only eat the food you feed me. I would really appreciate my furever family to understand how important is it to me to be social and take me for lots of outdoor adventures.
Because being a puppy is a full-time job for me right now, I hope you love playing as much as I do! When I have no one to play with, I like to find things to chew on, it feels so nice on my brand new teeth! Being a growing girl, I also like to take lots of naps, (preferably right on top of you but next to you will do,) and eat lots and lots! Yum yum yum, I love food so much that I eat too fast, please help me learn and maintain good eating habits so I stay healthy and you can help me learn even more good habits by inspiring me with treats and positive reinforcement. Maybe I’ll learn some more puppy things by the time we meet!
I hope we meet soon so you can see what a cute and sweet puppy I am before I grow up!” – xo Fawn
