“Hi guys, Jiggs here. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in the great outdoors and lived there until I was rescued and brought into AARCS. Living outside meant I had no contact with humans, and only had my fellow cats for comfort. I am still pretty scared of humans, so I am working on my people skills.
Foster mum says that she believes there is a good house cat in me, and I just need time and some good human experiences to draw me out.
Learning to trust humans is a long and difficult process. When I first came here, I was so scared, I couldn’t even eat or play when there was a human around. I can now eat, play, run and climb when foster mum is in the room. I also love to purr, and get treats.
I still have a lot of work to do before I am ready for my fur-ever home, but when I am ready, I think I would do better in a quiet home with patient people who can give me my space when I get too overwhelmed. I really love my foster sister, and I would love a home with another cat. Preferably a cat who has this social house cat thing down, and can help teach me how to do it.
Do you have space in your heart and home for someone like me?”
