Lovable, happy Rennie!
Rennie is recovering in a medical foster home after he had luxating patella (knee surgery). He is feeling better and better every day and sometimes even zips around the house for a few minutes! He will likely need to be on special joint food and/or fish oil and joint care powder. Rennie also has a few extra pounds that he needs to lose which will really help his joints feel better. He loves to eat so free feeding doesn’t work with this big guy, he needs monitored portions.
Rennie is a lovely big boy with a wonderful personality. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was very accepting of the other cats and didn’t even hiss at the dog. He does sometimes get upset with the dog if she hits him in the face with his tail but otherwise ignores her. He’s become friends with one of his foster brother’s and they can be seen sharing food and occasionally grooming each other. Rennie has also had the opportunity to meet two young boys and loved the attention!
Rennie spends most of his time napping on his favorite chair, but also loves attention from humans and happily meows when they get up in the morning. He has a favorite cardboard box that he likes to play in by himself or he’ll go flop over in a corner with a catnip toy. He is very independent and wouldn’t mind a home all by himself, but sharing with another cat or dog would work too!
