    Story

    Hi I’m Mika!

My name is Mika and I’m so excited to meet my forever family! I am always happy and love to play, cuddle, and give kisses. I will require a fairly active home to burn some of my energy, maybe a furry friend with that I can play with as well?

I can be a little unsure around children, so I would probably be best suited to a home with no children. I can also be a little shy with particular humans, and bark at them when they come in but mostly I just need a little time to get to know them. However, new things are little scary for me – so a low traffic home would be best.

I used to hate going in my kennel so I would run away and play dead on the couch so that maybe I wouldn’t have to – but my foster mom always knew what I was up to (not sure how, I thought I did pretty good?) – but now I know I get plenty of treats so I run in there by myself and sit quietly for them! I do like to jump up when I get excited for breakfast and dinner but we are working on that currently, I just love my food!! She says I am doing great with my house training if I’m let out regularly though. I’ve had no accidents in the kennel and only a couple accidents in the past couple of weeks in general.

I sleep throughout the night and like to be by my humans. Even if I’m on top of my foster mom! She doesn’t seem to care though because I’m so cute…

If you feel like you may be a good fit for me, please put an application!
