    Story

Hi, I’m Lexy! AKA as Lexy girl by my foster momma. I have lived outside most of my life and am now loving living the life in a heated home with people that love me!

When my fantastic rescuers found me I had been living outside for many years and was in rough shape. They cleaned me up with a brand new haircut so I would be more comfortable, my momma says my hair will grow out and I won’t be pink forever! Now that I am living indoors I am really enjoying the finer things – central heating, my own doggy bed and a really warm blanket. I love nothing more than cuddles and snuggles with anyone who will indulge me. I am actually self-petting and will rub up against anything so you don’t have to do the work. Oh, and walks and car rides – those are the best! I Now that I have realized how amazing life is, I don’t want to miss out. I love everyone I meet on my walks, and while nervous at first, after a sniff I will let them pet me. I don’t like to be left alone but am working hard on it. I don’t love going into my crate and will bark for awhile, but will chill out and wait for you to come home shortly.
Living a life on the streets I have a few things to work on. I was never house trained so I am figuring out how to go outside. Now that we have a routine figured out I rarely have accidents in the house, but please be patient if I make a mistake now and then. I can learn! I am also quite nervous having my collar put on or being restrained, but these are all things that can be worked on if you go slow with me. Ideally I would live with someone who was home more often than not so we could spend our time loving each other up!
